Seriously. I feel like I should update because, well, I know at least two people check this blog fairly regularly. But honestly, nothing too exciting happened in my life this week - nothing that I can write about here, anyway.

Preparing to entertain relatives tomorrow with the following menu:
Salmon canapes
Rack of lamb
Herbed potatoes
French green beans with lemon
Mushrooms bordelaise
Salad with mustard dressing
A cheese course: Gorgonzola Dolce, Cotswold and St. Andre
And finally, white chocolate mousse.
We're serving Domaine de Pouy 2002 with the salmon canapes. Said relatives are going to go shopping with us at Sam's, Your Chicagoland Wine and Liquor Superstore, for a choice to go with the lamb. Darling husband will be getting cognac to go with the mousse.

Parked in front of the big screen TV, we watched the Illini beat Northwestern.
In direct contrast to the elegant menu that Anna describes, we served popcorn, followed by Sloppy Joes.
Wonder what happened in the Rothfuss household today?

Spoke with T in Germany tonight. As you know his sis R is visiting. T reports that it appears R will be working at an Irish Pub in Duesseldorf for a while. Don't know for how long. Will keep you informed.
I'm still recovering from the bachelorette party I attended in Tucson last night.
I still check your blog, even though I have given up the writing gig. As for my weekend, I watched Denver get their butts handed to them (damn those Steelers!) and continued knocking off the wedding tasks.
Still waiting for that update . . .
I, on the other hand, update my blog religiously! Ha. I only wish that were true.
Every time I go to update my blog, I make the mistake of imagining someone reading it. Complete. Writer's. Block.
